This blog explores the people, opportunities, and impact behind TensorWave’s approach to early careers.

The TensorWave Early Careers Program

Starting a career should mean getting the chance to contribute from day one. TensorWave’s Early Careers Program was designed with that in mind. Participants spent the summer working alongside our teams, learning from dedicated mentors, and contributing to projects that mattered. What started as a summer opportunity became the first step toward something bigger.

That experience came from a program built around meaningful team placement, clear structure, and hands-on learning. This blog explores the people, opportunities, and impact behind TensorWave’s approach to early careers.

Program Overview

In 2026, TensorWave welcomed its first early careers cohort, bringing together 14 participants from five states. They worked across 10 departments:

 * Engineering
 * Network Engineering
 * Marketing
 * GTM/Sales Operations
 * Design
 * Security
 * UI/UX
 * IT
 * Finance
 * Accounting

Each participant worked closely with a mentor in their department, receiving guidance and feedback along the way. Over the 12-week program, they supported their teams while developing projects of their own. At the end of the summer, they presented their work and experiences to executive leadership and colleagues across the company.

The program also included resume reviews, career guidance, and product and market overviews to help participants build professional skills and better understand the industry. Collaboration across departments gave them experience working through projects with people beyond their immediate teams.

Projects and Roles

Projects were shaped around each participant’s skills, the time available, and the potential to create lasting value for their team. Department mentors helped guide the work and track progress throughout the summer. Projects included supporting audits, developing graphic designs, researching event venues, and creating interface improvements for the engineering team.

One participant in sales operations developed a process for monitoring SEC filings, identifying prospective clients, and entering ranked opportunities into a CRM platform. With guidance from his mentor, he turned the process into a reliable tool that continued supporting the team after the summer ended.

Participants on the software engineering team worked together to build a full-stack feature that allowed internal teams to organize infrastructure across the country into custom logical groupings. The feature brought workflows previously spread across Slack, spreadsheets, and ticketing tools into a single, auditable source of truth within the company’s operations dashboard.

Each project gave participants something tangible to show for their time at TensorWave, reflecting the skills, knowledge, and confidence they developed through hands-on work.

The Early Careers Experience

The experience extended beyond day-to-day work. Activities built into the program gave participants opportunities to get to know their colleagues, build connections, and experience life at TensorWave.

Outside the office, the cohort enjoyed a sponsored Topgolf trip, tickets to a Las Vegas Aviators game, and mini golf at PopStroke. Office activities included Vegas Golden Knights watch parties, board game nights, and a clothing-patch night.

Bobby Ching described his experience this way:

“For my first internship, not only was it an amazing experience, but it also gave me an entirely different perspective on day one. It taught me a lot of different things compared to what you would learn in a university classroom, proving that real-world experience can go much further from a classroom lecture.”

That balance of meaningful work and community helped define the summer. By the end of August, participants were leaving with more than experience for their resumes. They had built friendships, professional connections, and memories to take into the next stage of their careers.

Outcomes

For many participants, the end of summer wasn’t the end of their time at TensorWave. More than 50% of the cohort received offers to continue working with their departments, reflecting the value of their contributions throughout the program.

After spending three months alongside their teams, those continuing with TensorWave could build on the relationships, knowledge, and momentum they had already developed.

These outcomes reflect a program designed to help people grow through meaningful responsibility, consistent guidance, and opportunities to solve real problems. For TensorWave, the first early careers cohort offered a glimpse of the company’s next generation of talent and showed what can happen when people have the support and opportunity to get started.

Looking Ahead

For summer 2027, we’re building on what made our first cohort a success. Participants can expect the same focus on meaningful team placement, dedicated mentorship, and opportunities to contribute.

Applications for the summer program will open in October 2026, with application reviews beginning in spring 2027. If you didn’t get a chance to meet TensorWave at the CSN Career Fair, Best Career Expo Career Fair, or UNLV Career Fair, keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities to connect with our team.

However you find your way to TensorWave’s Early Careers Program, the goal is the same: to give you the experience, support, and responsibility to take the next step in your career. For those ready to make waves, this is a place to begin.
